I have found myself in meetings many times where someone asks how long it will take to send say 4 GB across a 2 Mbps connection or how much bandwidth is needed to transfer 100 GB in 48 Hours.
If youre a network engineer, an IT engineer or even a typical PC user, youll find this tool can easily provide the answers quickly. Especially useful when you need the answer quick !
There is an Overhead Variable included in the calculator so that you can calculate on different network technologies that may be involved. IPSEC for example can add up to 50% extra data to your file size due to the encryption overheads.
