E-Number

Ever been at the food store wondering what all those E-Numbers on the list of contents mean? Wonder no more!

E-Number gives you an easy accessible list of all EU approved food additives with E-Numbers and descriptions, browsable either by number or name. The lists are both indexed making browsing really easy.

Additives can easily be added to, and removed from, the list of favorites. This list is fully reorder-able, and single entries can be removed with a right swipe on a row to show the delete button.

When selecting a row, several actions are available without quitting the application, among which:
- "Show details" give the accurate substance details from the "Nordic Food Additive Database" with currently active regulations and recommendations on the substance.
- "Google it" or "Lookup on Wikipedia" does a query with the E-Number on the given service.

The actions require a data connection, but the list in itself and the favorites functionality are all fully working offline. The Safari button in the details view, loads the currently active page in normal Safari for continued browsing.

This application is fully localized in English and Swedish. More languages are to follow in future versions.

The English version uses the "Current EU approved additives and their E Numbers" list from the U.K. Food Standards Agency, and the Swedish one uses "E-nummernyckeln" from the Swedish National Food Administration (Livsmedelsverket), as source.
