Golf Telemeter

Ever wanted to know the distance/elevation you are to the flag (GPS is not required so this works on any course) or what is the slope on this difficult green, then Golf Telemeter is the tool you need.

HELP: How to use the distance tool in 2 steps:
1) Align bottom of flag on bottom red line
2) Touch the screen to drag the "align flag top" slider to the top of the flag. This changes the flag distance in real-time
3) Use the zoom to get more precision

How to use:
1) Slope screen
Put your device on the grass in direction of the flag (make sure it is not wet!) and immediately read the slope at device level.
A ball trajectory simulator shows you a possible ball path with a preset strength.

2) Flag Dist. Screen
Aim for the flag using camera live video feed (no need to take a picture)
Align bottom of flag on bottom red line.
Align Flag top on touchable/movable red line as below.
Read flag distance/elevation in real time.

Note:
For this to work properly, you may need to set the current golf course flag height in the "Prefs" screen. The USGA recommends that courses have a flag height of 7.0 feet (214cm), this is the default in the application.

3) Prefs Screen
Change Meters to Yards and vice versa.
Change flag height for your current course one if required.
You can set a flag height from 1,5m to 2,5m.

Pump up your device brightness to the max for best results in any light conditions.

PS (it seems some users use the app just to measure distance to other stuff :-) ): you can also measure the distance to known objects. For example, to measure the distance from you to a person, just define the "flag" height to something like 1,8m (6feet) for a man and 1,7m for a woman (5,5feet). It works a bit like the "Dimensions" utility app but here you do not need to take a picture to see the distance to the person.
