iCRM

Application iCRM is a mobile connector into Microsoft Dynamics CRM system version 4.0. It allows users to browse most of system and user entities in company’s business data from the Microsoft Dynamics Server wherever mobile connection is available right on the Apple iPhone or iPod touch. It is designed for sales representatives, project managers and other finance and sales executives. The application iCRM is a viewer of user’s/company’s data, not an editor.

The application iCRM uses local cache database. It helps iCRM to be more responsive due to elimination necessity of downloading all data from the MS CRM server each time.

The application iCRM shows data in a way almost similar to Microsoft Dynamics CRM web application. Users could browse the data through:
- thematic categories with system’s and users entities (Workplace, Marketing, Sales, etc.)
- list of entity records (filterable by users and system filters)
- entity record detail which has standard view by form
- entity relationships

Search function is available wherever its possible. It provides complex view to MS CRM data in a way user is used to. All information is closely connected to iPhone/iPod touch functionality so user is able to call contact or send an email direct from the application.

The application does not require any extension on Microsoft Dynamics CRM server configuration. iCRM provides access to data stored at MS CRM server through its standard web services. These web services must be necessarily accessible through Internet or mobile device must be connected through VPN to company network. User must have privilege to both web services. User will just download iCRM from an App Store, fill out URL of company’s MS CRM server and login data, and user proceeds to use the application iCRM. Nevertheless, a plug-in to the MS CRM server is available on support pages. The plug-in enriched users experience with the application iCRM with further information from the MS CRM server.
