Arimaa is a game where stronger animals like elephants and camels try to push and pull the weaker ones from the opposing team into traps while one of the rabbits tries to sneak across the board and harmlessly reach the other side. The first player to get a rabbit to the other side wins.
This may sound like a cute kids game; and while it is easy enough for your kids to enjoy, you will find that it is a very deep game that can take more than a lifetime to master. Arimaa is one of the most complex strategy games ever invented in the history of mankind, but designed to look intuitively simple.
It is said that there are more possible games of chess than the total number of atoms in our universe. The number of possible games of Arimaa is more than the number of atoms in many, many universes. In fact even a billion, times a billion, times a billion, (repeat 15 more times) universes would still have less atoms than the number of possible games of Arimaa.
