Lost Cards 1.0
Lost Cards 1.0 Ranking & Summary
Lost Cards 1.0 description
Have you ever considered what would you do if you lost your wallet, or you found youd dropped a credit card somewhere?
It happens. Twice in the past few months Ive found two credit cards lying on the sidewalk and called to cancel them. That made me wonder: How would I know who to call if it happened to me? That led me to create Lost Cards.
Now you have a low cost way to store the card number and phone numbers of your credit cards, without the cost and complexity of complete "password manager" application.
Lost a card? Flick to the page for that card and with one click, dial the 1-800 number to report it lost. iPod Touch users still see the phone number so they can call using a nearby phone.
Of course, we could have added a bunch of bells and whistles, and captured every conceivable piece of information about your cards, but at the end of the day, when you lose you card you need to know who to call, and be able to give them your card number. They dont need more than that, so why run the risk of storing more in a "password manager"?
- No limits
Unlike some competing apps that limit you to a handful of cards, Lost Cards lets you enter any number of cards, and quickly flick through them.
- No compromises
Low cost doesnt mean low standards. We wouldnt want to make a bad situation worse, so we password protect access to your cards, and all your credit cards information fully encrypted.
Not only do we password protect and encrypt your card data. The information you enter is stored on your iPhone or iPod Touch and nowhere else. There is no desktop application that were talking to. No magical database in the sky. All your information stays in the palm of your hand.
- Works the way it should
You expect your iPhone applications to "just work". When you type in a phone number it should be formatted correctly for you. Same with credit card numbers - whether its a Visa, Amex, Diners ... You should expect no less.
In addition to formatting phone and card numbers, we also highlight numbers that look wrong. If you get one digit of your credit card number wrong, well highlight the card number so you know there is a problem. Credit card numbers contain a "check digit" for this kind of sanity checking - and you wouldnt want to find out youd mis-keyed the number when you have call to cancel a lost card!
Requirement:Compatible with iPhone and iPod touch Requires iPhone OS 3.0 or later
