NavigX Touch

NavigX Touch converts between Latitude/Longitude and Ordnance Survey Grid References.

Ordnance Survey Grid References are the basis for all Ordnance Survey maps in the United Kingdom. Although Latitude and Longitude are displayed on these maps, they arent the primary means of referencing and map is based on the Ordnance Survey Grid Reference system.

Performing a conversion is simple. Just enter your Ordnance Survey Grid Reference into the OS Grid field and click return. The Latitude and Longitude will be displayed instantly. To convert the other way, enter your Latitude and Longitude coordinates (Whole Degrees, Whole Minutes and Decimal Seconds) into the fields, click return and your Ordnance Survey Grid Reference will appear.

In addition to the static conversion, NavigX Touch allows you to see your current location as an Ordnance Survey Grid Reference using the iPhones powerful location service. NavigX Touch updates your current location in real time and does not rely on any mobile or data signal to operate on the iPhone 3G. Original iPhone users will need a mobile signal in order for NavigX Touch to use the location service.

NavigX Touch is subject to evolutionary development so if it doesnt do something that you would like it to do, please check the website as youll find a list of ongoing development tasks, some of which are already extremely ambitious.
