Notre-Dame de Paris est un roman de l’écrivain français Victor Hugo, publié en 1831.
Le titre rappelle la cathédrale de Paris, Notre-Dame, qui est un des lieux principaux de l’intrigue du roman.
Ses personnages, depuis célèbres grâce à de nombreuses adaptation du roman au théâtre, au cinéma…sont Quasimodo, Esmeralda, Claude Frollo, Phœbus de Châteaupers, Pierre Gringoire et Fleur-de-Lys.
Biographie: Victor Hugo
Victor-Marie Hugo, né le 26 février 1802 à Besançon et mort le 22 mai 1885 à Paris, est un écrivain, dramaturge, poète, homme politique, académicien et intellectuel engagé français considéré comme le plus important des écrivains romantiques de langue française et un des plus importants écrivains de la littérature française.
Son œuvre est très diverse : romans, poésie lyrique, drames en vers et en prose, discours politiques à la Chambre des Pairs, correspondance abondante.
