RSS Speaker is a RSS feed reader featuring high quality Text-To-Speech engine.

Simply add your favorite RSS feeds, start the play button, and close your eye.
Instead of reading through each feed, let your iPhone read them out loud for you.
Text-To-Speech engine equipped with RSS speaker is developed by Acapela group, the industry leading software group based in France.

By default RSS speaker has one pre-installed English voice.
You can download additional voices for 13 languages inside the application. ( Downloading service avaiable until July 5, 2009 )

You CAN preview the voices before you download. Just click speaker shaped icon left of download icon.

When you download additional voices, we recommend that you use wifi connection instead of 3G or GSM network. Each voice file set is pretty big, and you may experience difficulty completing the download with 3G or GSM.

TTS Languages supported :

English(UK and US), Czech, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Italian, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Spanish, Swedish

For those languages lacking TTS support, you can still read the RSS feeds as you would with a regular RSS feed reader.

***Note for current users:

Your choice of RSS feeds may not contain full length articles, hence RSS Speaker will read only 2-3 sentences of each article. This is not an error. The blogger or RSS feeder gets to decide whether or not they would allow full length articles to be contained with each RSS feed. Some bloggers prefer to show only partial article so that you can finish reading the rest at his or her website. Sometimes they choose partial articles because full length RSS feed would consume much more traffic.
So, if you would like to have "RSS Speaker" read out full length articles to you, please ask the blogger to provide RSS feed at full length. Thank you.
