▶Scenic Map produces beautiful fully shaded terrain maps without the need of an internet connection. Each map has a vast coverage area yet contains exquisite detail. You can use it like a digital atlas to explore the world or as a tracker to see what is around your current location.

▶Fully customize your maps. You can choose which features are displayed. You can select between gray, simulated elevation colors or natural Earth colors. You can change the month and see how the color of the land changes with the season. You can even change the direction of the lighting. This is possible because all of the data is stored on your iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch.

▶Scenic Map represents a breakthrough in digital terrain data compression. The raw 10 meter USGS elevation data has been compressed with a 75:1 ratio while preserving accuracy and producing smoother more natural looking terrain.

▶Scenic Map is also a breakthrough in digital map rendering. Instead of hiding smaller roads as the map is zoomed out, Scenic Map is able to display every road at every scale level. This can be very helpful when you are exploring an area with few roads. You can zoom out and see all the roads in the area, not just the major highways.

▶Scenic Map contains a highly optimized software renderer. It can render every road in a city the size of Los Angeles on an iPod Touch in a second or less. Since the data is all stored on your mobile device, you never have to wait to see your map because of a slow internet connection or overloaded server.

▶Scenic Map works everywhere within its coverage area even when there is no cell phone or WiFi coverage. This is important because the type of areas when a terrain map is most useful tend to be the same areas where there is no cell coverage.
