Life is short. The tasks and decisions facing us are many. “On the Shortness of Life” aims to provide us with a philosophical system for deciding what is important and how we should spend our most valuable non-renewable resource – time.

Seneca was a Roman philosopher and a foremost contributor to the Stoic school of thought. Although he lived during the first century AD, his teachings remain popular today. Stoicism has particularly been credited for being a practical philosophy, applicable to the everyday life of every man and woman.
