Simplicity interfaces with Google Reader™ to add additional functionality not available in the mobile version of Google Reader™. You will need to have a Google Reader™ account to use Simplicity. It provides these features:

- Stores your Google Reader™ user name and password
- Counts unread feeds and displays it on the Simplicity icon
- Customizes the unread count to track specific feeds and folders
- Configure the unread count by either selecting entire folders or specific feeds
- Open web links inside the application and return to the same place unlike Safari, which might reload Google Reader
- Optionally, open a web link inside Safari
