Taekwondo ITF Patterns Ranking & Summary
Taekwondo ITF Patterns description
Taekwondo. Fast, exciting, challenging. An explosive sport that seeks not only to test your physical prowess, but also to develop your mind. On the journey to black belt, you will need to learn ten patterns. Each pattern, is a specific sequence of punches, kicks, blocks and stances.
The ITF Patterns application will help you learn each one. For each step of the pattern, it will show you photos of the movement from all four angles. Detailed descriptions of each step explain direction of movement, stance, foot and hand positions.
Patterns included:
- Chon-Ji
- Dan-Gun
- Do-San
- Won-Hyo
- Yul-Guk
- Joong-Gun
- Toi-Gye
- Hwa-Rang
- Choong-Moo
*** Why is our TKD app the best? ***
Because of our content and our interface! We have hundreds of photos in our app. Each step of each pattern is available from four different angles - front, right, back, left.
Our interface uses the iPhone UI to provide an intuitive way of viewing each step. Swipe from side to side to change the photo angle. Move through one step at a time or fast forward five steps at a time. With video, if the person is moving away from you, you dont see the move correctly. Where are the hands? What block was that? With our app, just swipe to change the angle.
Video is usually shot at wide angle so you dont see the detail of the move, especially on smaller screens like the iPhone. All our photos are taken from the same distance to ensure that you get the detail for each step.
As you move from one step to the next, we use a subtle fade technique so that you see one step move to the next. Its an effective way of seeing the transition between steps.
With some of the more complicated moves, we use several photos to show the breakdown, making it easy to see exactly what you need to do.
We describe each step in detail *with* each photo. If you are on Step 5 of Chon-Ji, we show you a photo of the step and describe it - including any movement (direction plus any turns, e.g. turn 90 degrees to the right), the hand movement (e.g. guarding stance right hand leading) and the stance/kick (e.g. walking stance left foot forward).
*** But your app is more expensive! ***
Yes it is. But were still talking less than a cup of coffee. The journey to black belt can take several years. A guide with this level of detail and with the features described above, will be invaluable on that journey.
