Timepieces - 50 Classic Clocks 2.0

Timepieces recreates the look, feel, and function 50 different antique time keeping instruments on your iPhone or iPod Touch. Designed and implemented with a strict attention to detail this application pays homage to the watch and clock makers of the past who constructed these intricate analog mechanisms and designed their aesthetic faces and cases.

A WHOLE COLLECTION
Within the 50 different clocks provided in Timepieces 2.0 you will find automotive clocks, world war II era aviation clocks, ships chronometers, and many different kinds of pocket watches.

Run Timepieces while your iPhone or iPod Touch is in its charger to turn it into a wonderful desk accessory. If youve recently upgraded to a new iPhone 3GS this is a great way to get some use from your "last-gen" device.

The application can be configured to automatically display different clocks over periods of time ranging from 1 minute to 1 day. The automatic switching can be done among all clocks within the application or only among those that youve tagged as favorites.

Additionally, the auto-dim functionality can be disabled to prevent the screen from dimming and locking while Timepieces is running.

MORE THAN JUST SKINS
As in the real world each clock provides a different set of features and functions. Naturally all display the current time. However, some of the special features that you will find among the clocks within the Timepieces application
include:

- Clocks featuring sub-second accuracy even down to one-tenth of a second.

- Complications such as day of the week, day of the month, and month dials.

- Display of the current phase of the moon.

- Stopwatch/timer functions including one chronometer with a split-seconds function.

- Winding strength indicators to help the owner remember when the clock or watch needs to be wound. Within Timepieces these reflect the modern day equivalent, your devices battery charge.

Please keep in mind that these are pictures of actual timepieces rather than artificial creations. In reproducing them here we strive for historical and technical balance realizing that screen size, storage space, and overall performance limitations of a mobile device require certain trade-offs to be made in order to provide such a large variety of clocks. We also choose not to Photoshop away the centuries of ownership and use that we feel gives these clocks their character and realism.
