Travelputer is the cycle computer for the 21st century !

Travelputer is a mapping cycle computer for your iPhone. It uses GPS to calculate your speed and distance as you travel, and shows a map of your current position. It can also be used on foot or in a vehicle, but it has been specifically designed with the cyclist in mind. A single, gorgeous display shows your current and average speed and distance, pace, time and location.

Designed to be easy to read and use when riding a bike, Travelputer sits in your iPhone bike cradle and shows you everything you need to know, simply and clearly, whether youre a serious road racer, XC mountainbiker, or casual bike commuter.

Features:

Auto-pause: using GPS movement detection, Travelputer knows when you start moving and only counts moving time towards your total ride time and average speeds. If you need to pause your ride, no need to worry about stopping Travelputer - it will pause automatically, and restart when you do. (Manual stop start override is also provided).

Current speed: show in large, easy to read digits.

Average speed, maximum speed: for the current ride

Trip distance: the total distance of your current journey

Total distance and time: the total time and distance for all your journeys.

Trip Time: the time you spend actually moving is shown. Travelputer only increments the time if it detects you’re actually moving, so your average speed and total travel times are as accurate as possible.

Maps: the lower half of the display is devoted to a map display, in either roadmap, satellite or hybrid view. The map can be set to automatically follow your position during your journey. Full pan/zoom of maps is fully supported.

Heading fix: an extra tap of the location button will keep the map correctly oriented to always show your direction of travel at the top of the map, even without an iPhone 3GS ! This makes navigation much easier as you’re travelling - left turns are actually shown on the left, right on the right, etc. With iPhone 3GS this uses the on-board compass, on iPhone 3G it uses the GPS heading data.

Google Earth export: analyse your trip in minute detail with Google Earth, by emailing yourself a KML file. Share your travels with your friends by emailing them the file.

Clock: swipe the trip time to scroll across to the current clock time. Large, easy to read digits make this easily readable even when riding.

Altitude profile: Travelputer graphs all the ups and downs of your travels, so you’ll be able to tell just how many monster hill climbs you managed ! Tap the trip distance/altitude graph to view a large version of the graph in the upper display, great for after-ride analysis.

Pace indicator: Travelputer flashes a pace indicator next to the current speed, to let you know if you’re currently traveling at average speed, or faster or slower.

GPS accuracy indicator: the current level of accuracy of the GPS fix is constantly displayed to the left of the speed. The more bars are shown, the more accurate your ride data at any one time.

Battery indicator: constant GPS use is a heavy battery drain. The large battery indicator to the right of the speed lets you keep an eye on your battery power, without having to look at the tiny battery icon in the status bar. (We recommend the use of a battery pack such as the Mophie Juicepack Air; GPS is always a heavy drain on the battery)

Choice of units: kilometres and meters, or miles and feet - the choice is yours.

This App absolutely requires iPhone 3GS or iPhone 3G because it uses GPS technology only found in these devices. Original iPhone or iPod Touch are NOT supported.
