U-CamViewer : Ubiquitous Viewer for IP & CCTV cameras

The U-CamViewer is a JPEG/MJPEG based video viewer for IP cameras, and even CCTV cameras with DVR supports which give you the selectable grid view with 4 camera displays onscreen at a time.
None like the ordinary camera apps on the app store, U-CamViewer gives the user many more options. Ever wonder what’s going on at your place or anywhere when youre not around? By installing the U-CamViewer on your iPhone 3G or iPod Touch you can see what is going in the background. The U-CamViewer allows you to monitor anything virtually from anywhere with Wi-Fi coverage or even Cellular networks. Just download and click U-CamViewer to view what the camera’s lens see. The most spectacular function of this application is that you can also control the direction of the camera using your U-CamViewer and adjust the digital zoom to bring objects of interest into close view. Can zoom into how many ever times depending on the quality of the camera. Tapping on the “home” icon will re-center the camera at that location.
While viewing a camera, you can have the ability to navigate back and forth to next and previous cameras in the list with the variety of portrait and landscape modes.
Take snapshots remotely using your security camera and save the images to local photo gallery on your iPhone 3G or iPod Touch, or share on email, facebook and/or twitter. Use just two fingers to pinch and zoom the iPhone 3G/iPod Touch display. The possibilities are endless!

Before you can control your camera(s) remotely, you have to setup your router to allow incoming traffic. For security reasons, routers dont normally allow external traffic into your home/office network. You should read your camera’s setup manual regarding port forwarding.
Currently supported cameras in this software are not theirs own manufacturers’ entire models and are only models viewable through the web.
The quality of video display(s) shown on the iPhone 3G/iPod Touch may vary according the quality of the camera(s) and the data received from them.
The response time of Pan/Tilt control depends on the network and/or camera capability which may cause a little bit of delay in feedback.
