If youre dialing a contact via a speed dial icon no connection is required at all. Everything works offline!

Technical Backgrounder:
Weve applied a couple of clever tricks to make Visual Dials functionality available. When you tap one of your personally styled Home Screen icons Mobile Safari opens an offline copy of a special Visual Dial page (no Internet connection required, no data transmitted!). Mobile Safari then instructs Visual Dial to place the call. This process takes a few seconds. Were not saying that Visual Dial is the FASTEST dialer on earth - but its definitely the coolest!
