Word Find

Word Find helps you find a word by searching word lists for matches to a pattern. Great for finding compounds and phrases, and words for word games like Scrabble (TM) and crossword puzzles.

Three word lists are provided:
- WordWeb: over 300 000+ general English words
- Advanced: over 700 000+ words and compounds
- Wikipedia: millions of head words from the encyclopedia

Word searches can include one or more unknown letters, vowel/consonant patters, or groups of possible letters. You can also restrict the search to just nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs or other word forms.

No Internet connection is required, but if you are online you can click on any word to quickly look it up in a variety of web references.

Other features include:

- Restrict to common words, or ignore derived forms
- Use British, American, Canadian or Australian English
- Change case and punctuation sensitivity
- Change maximum word length
