Xtenscape

This app is an extension to Xtenscape for Mac OS and Windows, which will control X-10 Home automation modules around your home or office.

It runs on an iPod touch and iPhone wirelessly connecting to Xtenscape for Windows/Mac OS via your wireless LAN or over the internet.

Once set up, you can control any of your X-10 home automation modules on your iPhone/iPod from almost anywhere.

There are many uses for this level of control:
- Save money by switching appliances off while youre away from home or overnight.
- Turn lights on and off while on vacation to deter burglars.
- Turn on heating or cooling systems a few hours before you arrive home.
- control a sprinkler system to water your lawn while away from home.

Its not as expensive as you may think to automate your home, you can start off with just one control module (plugs into the back of your Mac or PC) and one appliance module to control almost any appliance, even heavy loads.

Once you have the basic hardware, all you need is Xtenscape and you can manually switch appliances on and off or have the PC/Mac version switch them using a schedule.
